Four levels of time management Self discipline and assertiveness Did you ‘achieve’ and ‘enjoy’ today? Poem: My hands were busy through the day New year’s resolutions that work Ideas of beating procrastination Interruptions - less time or later Beating procrastination at Christmas |
Not sure if this counts as a proper tip of the month but I've been asked on quite a few courses about what to do about
interruptions to one's dinner when the phone rings and it's those wretched window/free holiday/"only doing a survey not trying to
sell you anything" cold callers the best answer I've found is to join the Telephone Preference Service - it's free, something to
do with the Data Protection and Privacy Act 1998 (Direct Marketing / Telecomms) basically you phone 0845-0700707 (and -0700702 for
junk faxes) and the TPS will add you to their list. If you get any unsolicited sales calls after that you can contact the TPS and
they will prosecute whoever has called you. I've found that one mention of the TPS and they never call me again! Hoping this
helps.
